Feel the Love - Focussing on Life

Bob can no longer get up the stairs on his own.
So each night Peter carries him up to our room.
And each night I love Peter even more for his gentle compassion.

  2. Oh this is beautiful. This is what we did when our Cleo was at the end. Her legs just could not do the stairs anymore. I miss her - everyday. Hug Bob for as long as you can.

  15. this brought tears to my eyes...my hubby is a tender hearted guy too, and this brought back memories of my very well loved cat Mokie, when he sas sick my hubby would give him his medicine and baby talk to him and would have tears in his eyes because he knew how bad Mokie hated having him do this...

  19. Tears in my eyes... such a beautiful loving man. It reminds me of my husband carrying our Sam up and down stairs the last year of his life. They are so loyal to us that we have to be back.

  20. LeAnn, your post goes straight to my heart! We are almost at that point with Max, our 13yr old lab. He still tries to make it up the steps on his own, he's stubborn and if we try to pick him up he dead weights himself so we slowly walk behind him just in case he slips.

  33. How beautiful! And I understand completely. We've made a number of adjustments for our 19 year old cat. He can still climb stairs, but he can't jump, so we've created stair steps for him to all his favorite places, including our bed.

    They give such love!

  35. Yes, your husband is full of compassion and what a beautiful picture to share with us....conveys so much in a single photo. We do anything for our sweet pets...in the last year, I had to carry my Hodgie outside every single time he needed to go to the bathroom. My youngest son loved having him in the back of the stroller with him to go on walks. I miss those walks. Your post brings back many memories.
