But I am home again and it feels nice to be surrounded by my usual life. My crazy dogs, my Monday morning coffee with my friend, my sweetie. When I walked out into the garden this morning I was greeted with my favourite part of spring. The iris have started to open and are in full beautiful deep purple bloom. It was like they were just waiting there to welcome me home. Oh I would love to bottle up the glow of the iris in early morning sun and save it for a rainy day.

Home again
The week at my daughter's home flew by and I had such a good time with my children. It is sometimes odd to think of them all grown up with their own homes, their own furniture, their own dishwashers, doing their own laundry. How did they grow up so fast?

Pretty!!!! I always like coming home. Even though my kids are younger than yours, I am always amazed at what they do - so much more than I did! I am so impressed! Hope all is well with your son!
How does life pass by so quickly? The good things go by too quickly and the bad don't seem to go quickly enough!
Its always great to return home, I look forward to my Irises opening too.
There's no place like home, is there? Your iris look gorgeous! Mine haven't started blooming yet, but I think we are sharing the same warm temps.
Welcome back, hope you had a good visit with your children! My canna lillies are coming up, but the irises are still trying to get warmed up!
Glad to hear your trip was good, but our own beds are the best! BTW, I would bet you could bottle up that iris in clay somehow!!
LeAnn..you sure captured an interesting sentiment - how your children now have their own homes and furniture. I bet it sure does feel as if time has flown by so fast...I know I feel that way already. Glad you are home safe and sound after a nice visit with your kids! :-)

Welcome home, sweet LeAnn! I too have missed you. Hope you had a wonderful time. Your iris is just so beautiful! Mine are just starting to peep out of the ground.
Glad to hear you had a great trip, but it is always nice to get home to your own bed.
My son is almost finished with his first year in college...time flies too fast. I still can not imagine him having his own place.
What a gorgeous flower! I don't know if I've seen an iris like this before!
