It's hotter than blazes here!

Which means that my studio/garage was miserable when I unloaded the kiln this morning.  But it was worth going out there  just to get this one particuar little blossom pendant out.  I love blue and brown together. I know it's not a very summery combination. But heck it's 98F height here today. I would like to ignore summer for the time being and think about autumn.

And guess what? We are under a severe weather alert. It could be even hotter tomorrow, 100-107 degrees. We are warned that outdoor activity may induce serious heat related illness. I believe that means I have been given carte blanche to ignore the embarrasing state of my back garden. I believe that means that I am to lie in bed in the air conditioning with the ceiling fan on, with a good book.

Have a great weekend. I'll be in bed with Richard Jury as we solve the mystery of who killed Dorcas.

Leann dear, I really love that pendant! Regardless of the season you think the color "should" be in... in this day and age, anything goes! People wear anything any time! :) So rock on with your blue/brown self!

I love heat, but 100-107 is a bit much. Stay cool best you can and enjoy your book! :)

Girrrrrrrl, I *SO* feel your pain. We hit 95 today and with all the rain the humidity is hovering around a billion percent. I've just come in from the studio looking like I stepped out of the shower. It's not just hot. It's HAWT.

The suffering you are doing for your art? It's sooo appreciated because that pendant is gorgeous and those colors are fab year round. Love it!

Girlfriend, love the color combination. You can't go wrong with blue and brown - said the red head. I can't wait to see in person what other goodies came out of the kiln.

Love the flower, LeAnn!!!!!
I believe you interpreted the weather alert correctly. Much too hot to go outside, let alone do work out there. Say hi! to Richard for me - and to Melrose too, of course!

LeAnn, enjoy the air blowing from the fan, with an iced drink nearby, and work in the evening when it will hopefully be cooler, like they do in the desert. And in the meantime I think a medicinal drink like a collins or a julep is in order, don't you? Purely health related...
