Plentiful Sunshine

That's what the weather report for today said. We're not having just any old ordinary sunny day. We are having plentiful sunshine. That makes me smile. A day abundant and plentiful with sunshine.

What also makes me smile is that autumn seems just around the corner. When I went out with the dogs early this morning it was a mere 62F degrees. I actually shivered and thought about putting on a hoody. I love autumn. And over the last few days I have been making beads like a squirrel gathering nuts for winter. Hundreds of beads. I am not entirely sure what got into me.

There are beads in sassy new shapes and textures. I can't wait to glaze these up. I am seeing corals, and pumpkin, and toasty rust colours. Maybe some blues too because I still like blue even in autumn.

And there old familiar beads. Lots of birds. I love making birds. I feel peaceful when I make them.

Now I think I will head out and enjoy some more of that plentiful sunshine before Hurricaine Irene heads into the Carolinas. Because when that happens it will be plentiful rain and wind.

Wowie zowie! You go girl! I know that must feel amazing and fall is on the way ... it was 56 when I got up this morning here in the mountains! Sweet relief.

You know those owls won me over. How sweet! Sorry we have to welcome you with a hurricane. Fortunately you are far enough in from the shore that you should be okay. Perhaps wind damage. So you better tie down all those newly made beads so they don't blow away! =) Be safe my new friend.

Stake down that 'tomatozilla' and keep your heads down for safety

I'm likin' those kinda floral/snowflake looking disks in the middle picture. Definitely do some of those in blue!

yes, today was abundantly sunny and cool... but also very strange... i felt the earthquake that hit virginia... i thought i had lost my mind and was afraid to ask anyone else if they had felt it... the funny part? i was stamping in my basement - 'cause' and 'effect'... i was on 'effect' as my stool began to rock...
what do you make of that?

I can't wait to see the your fall colors. I think we all are ready for a change of season and some nice crisp air. Some heavy rain would be welcomed here, it has been an extremely dry month.

Hey LeAnn, you're a girl after my own heart ~ Autumn is the most amazing time of all, I can understand about all the bead making!
Be sure and batten down the hatches, hope Irene gives you a break there.

I was so busy looking nat all that beady potential, I forgot you are getting hit by this storm. Stay safe!
I also got a kick out of that little upside down owl.
We are battening down the hatches in Maine for the same storm you are about to get.
Stay safe!

LOL at 62 degrees! What the heck? Austin tied the all-time record high of 112 yesterday.
