Shhhh, don't tell Peter

But I am secretly delighted that he's gone back to work. The first semester of the university started on Monday and I've had  3 entire days all to myself. Now don't get me wrong. I've enjoyed having Peter around this summer. But, sheesh, three months?

Look at that table full of bronze pieces up there. I've gotten so much done. It feels good to be able to just work away in my studio with no distractions. It's almost like a guilty pleasure. It's almost as good as chocolate. OK, chocolate is much better.

I love the way these beads look like a small army marching away in a sort of confused disorganized way.

These beads look a little like ginger snaps to me. I'd like to have a ginger snap right now. But I've sworn off sugar and I am nearly certain that ginger snaps are full of sugar.

And then I had a bead cap binge today. There is no easily understood rationale for having a bead cap binge. Except maybe that swearing off sugar, which unfortunately includes chocolate and giner snaps, has forced me into binging in other ways.

I think maybe having all of this time to myself is making me delirious. Or seriously hungry. Or both.

These are looking fabulous LeAnn! I love the dimension you have given the beads, and the caps are luscious! Ha....now it sounds like I am talking about food...luscious! You are a better girl than I am for swearing off sugar!
I know exactly what you mean about Peter......I won't tell either!

Bahahahaha I can here the giddy-ness in your words! I am going to do a freaking cart wheel the first day my kids get on that school bus. It's been a loooong summer and I've not had one break...not one. My driver is about 85 ...wears the same shirt everyday and is hotter then Brad Pitt. I'm sure I will be blowing him kisses. Enjoy your quite time!

Wow you have been productive! Love those soldier beads, can't wait to see them finished. If giving up sugar can give you that kind of energy, i need to follow suit! Enjoy your studio time

OMG - your posts crack me up LeAnn! I swear that we could be sisters sometimes. Or maybe the same person split at birth a few years apart… Although I just usually swear at myself as I am enjoying that piece of chocolate or cookie I shouldn't be enjoying so much (or so often).

Love the bead caps. I adore bead caps! Yours are magnificent…

Oh I am so with you! After years of being on my own at home working while dearly beloved was away at day job, we went for over a year with him home and in school on-line. A real marital test for sure. Hard not to feel guilty on his first day back at work, but it was sweet relief!
And the fruits of your efforts are superb!

Love, love, love the bead caps. I'm actually looking forward to school starting too, it's nice to have some alone time to create.
