Beads, birds, and branches. where did the time go?

One copper clay, one bronze clay, one porcelain glaze kiln. One tray of beads left behind on the glaze table. Where, oh where, did the time go? I am tired. I have a cold. Not a bad cold, just enough of a cold to make my head feel fuzzy. Hence, the left behind tray of beads.
I'm off again on Monday to my daughter's home in Wichita. I haven't been up there on my own for a while. I'll being seeing her and my son who will be there on block leave from Ft Cambell. I'll meet his girl friend and her daughter for the first time. Very exciting! Except in the background of all of this is my son's deployment to Afghanistan in a month or so. It only seems a few days since he came back from Iraq. But such is life of a soldier and his family.
My beads will go with me. Both for shipping and for making things with. I've a show coming up in mid April. Life goes on no matter what is going on around you. That is for me, one of the most wonderful parts of waking up in the morning. No matter what your troubles or worries might be. life will go on.
Have a lovely rest of the weekend, all! I'll catch up when I can over the next week.

truer words were never spoken... and it must be heartbreaking to have your son be deployed again... enjoy your visit with your kids... and feel better - you've been getting sick a lot... must be very run down...

LeAnn, I was just thinking of you -I have your cherry blossom bead and an owl in my hand showing them to my husband.
I hope you have a wonderful visit with your daugther and son - bittersweet with his upcoming deployment. My brother will be facing a deployment to Afghanistan as a doc as well for a year - and will need to leave behind his wife and 2 little boys. Such tough times and I feel for you, imagining myself in your shoes.
I hope you get over this cold soon - take care of yourself!

Enjoy your family visit! I'm living the life of separation right now...my husband is in Afghanistan. It's weird to think that I won't see him until just about Christmas. Thanks goodness for email. :)

These are beautiful. LeAnn, I once heard someone say that the most beautiful words ever spoken and the ones that bring the most hope are these: "This too shall pass."

Enjoy the time with your children! May your son be safe during his deployment and I thank him for his service. We also have a family member in the Army, my brother-in-law, I'm very close to my in-laws. I often accompany my mother-in-law to her Blue Star Mothers meetings and events to volenteer. Have you heard of them? It's a nation-wide support organization for parents with children in the Military. Wonderful support and a great organization. Anyway, I know first-hand how hard it can be for Military families.
Hope all is well with you and I just love all your new lovelies in your shop! Beautiful work as always! :)
