Winners!

I let the random generator pick winners this time. Alice just wasn't up to it. It's the cold. It's got her a little down. The snow has covered up all of the pecans that she loves to eat and it gets into the pads of her feet. Well she's a little miserable with it, fair weather southern dog that she is.

Just in case you are wondering. The good karma thing kinda sorta worked. We now have running hot water in our kitchen. We stood around watching it start to unfreeze drip by drip last night, 36 hours after putting the heater in the sink. It was a little like watching paint dry but oh so rewarding. The cold water is still frozen but the pipe is not burst. Life could be worse.

Bead Soup Sneak Peek and a Give Away

I'm pretty sure there is a definite kind of theme going on in the bead soup going out to Melissa. Here's a little peak at what went out to the post yesterday.

This is my first time ever participating in the Bead Soup Blog Party hosted by Lori Anderson. There are so many many talented people involved. My partner Melissa Meman makes beautiful things and I love her use of metal and wire. No, I did not send her any wire.

To tell you the truth, I am just a little intimidated by all of this. Yes, you've seen some jewelry on my blog. But I really don't make all that much jewelry. So this is definitely a challenge for me. But a really good one. I love the idea of working outside of my comfort zone.

There is just a whole lot of love going around with the blog party so I thought maybe I'd celebrate that with a little give away. What better way to do that than with a bronze heart pendant? Tis the season after all with Valentines Day just around the corner.

The Winner and Even More Chances to Win Cool Things

Twenty seven names went into Alice's dish. I know there are only 26 comments but one intrepid player emailed me when blogger burped and wouldn't let her comment.  No way to photo document the selection as Alice was in a frenzy trying to choose the most promising tasty piece of paper. Everything was done in one huge blur and even old Bob got in on the action. Slips of paper flew everywhere.

But in the end she presented me with the one she liked best. Congratualations Lori of Pretty Things! Alice loves you! And she has since eaten your slip of paper. I'll get that copy of Bead Trends and the toggle clasp right out to you.

I really do wish I could hand out little gifts everyday. But there is another massive give away coming up on Sunday during the Beads of Clay online Open Studio. All of us will be having sales and give aways. And you get to have a little peak into our studios and even chat with us 'live.' First Friday Freebie!

Yes siree, it's that time again! First Friday and I've got 2 bronze pieces and 2 copper pieces up for grabs. The larger pieces are just under 1", the lotus is a little over 1/2" and the little bronze button bitty has never been measured.

First Friday Freebie!

Yeah!!!! It’s a give away.

I have been blogging for just a little over a year now and it’s been a wonderful experience. I have made so many friends, from all over the world really. You’ve all given me such amazing support and have truly nurtured my creative soul. Now I’d like to give something back.

This is the first of a bunch First Friday Freebies that I’ve got planned. Why First Friday? Well, one I like the alliteration of the F words (nice F words mind you). Also, the First Friday of the month is one day of the month I generally can remember. I don’t know why, but other Fridays can get lost in a drift of time.
